Class A and 5th Wheel units each have their own strengths and weaknesses.
Class A
Way more expensive per square foot of living space.
Much easier to set up and break down at the CG.
VERY convenient when traveling, as most amenities are readily available to the occupants.
Requires you to tow a car to get around with while at the CG, rent a car, or drive both vehicles separately.
Drive-train requires regular maintenance.
Fewer bunk-house layouts available than in 5th wheels.
5th Wheel
Much less expensive per square foot of living space.
Requires an adequate sized tow vehicle, which can get very expensive. Eats into that square footage savings!
Set-up and break-down at campsite is much more time consuming.
Lot's a great bunk-house or toy hauler configurations available for better dealing with kids
