When I was a lot younger and lived in Europe, I used to have a map
of the continent on my wall. Sometime in Spring, I used to get
a dart and throw it at the map - I used to take my summer holidays
where-ever the dart landed (more or less).
40 years later I'm kinda doing the same thing. Whenever I see some
interesting place on tv, I add it to my "places I'd like to visit"
list. In January, I open up my calendar and use my list to fill
up the year.
From Mar-Dec, I stay within 500 miles of my home. Jan-Mar I drive
somewhere warm (the south-west is stunning).
My TT is always loaded and I hit the road on the drop of a hat.
I rarely plan the details, I just go. Spontaneity keeps things
interesting.
I pull over at 4PM, pull out RVParky app and find a place for
the night. At a pinch, I've stayed at Walmarts and rarely drive
more than 350 miles/day.
