You folks worried about getting something in the mail that needs dealt with quickly should sign up for Informed Delivery with the USPS. It’s free and only takes a minute to setup. You get pictures of all the mail you are getting that day. You can get it emailed or check it via browser. Has the previous several days available so you don’t have to check every day.
