Maybe I'm stating the obvious here and you're already doing it so I apologize if that is the case. To conserve when showering: Turn water on to rinse. Turn water off. Lather. Turn water on to rinse off. Done. When I shower that way, I use less grey water than doing the dishes.
Also - when doing the dishes, see if you can do them in a tub and water one of the trees at the campsite. Some even have a tent section and a place where they pour out water from tubs, etc. into a gray water drain. But if you use environmentally friendly products, you can water a plant.
