Yes you had it backwards. Some people do use it for black water as well. Some say that certain places will not allow you to use a portable tote for black water. Personally I wouldn't whether it was allowed or not. The black water, as you've noticed, takes a lot longer to fill up than the gray water. The last thing I want is for the tote to malfunction half way to the dump full of black water contents. If I'm somewhere long enough to have to empty the black tank, then I will drive it over to the dump station if not on fhu.
