I would say it is a gamble on how much service you might need. If you were unfortunate enough to have multiple issues needing warranty repair or after warranty repair, the local dealer probably will not be inclined to make that easy for you. On the other hand, if you are lucky enough to have little or no problems, then it really does not matter where you buy it.
I did buy from a local dealer 7 yrs ago. Had a minor wiring error requiring one warranty trip back and left for one day to correct. Otherwise it has never been back. BUT. Most anything that needs done I do myself.
