The whole idea of traveling in an motorhome sounds great if fits within our budget.So far I can determine the cost of any motorhome and any RV site by searching online. The one area that I cannot get a handle on are the maintenance and repair costs that come with motorhomes.It would be helpful to see what RV owners have spent on maintenance and repairs over the course of owning their motorhomes.

Regular maintenance like oil changes, tires, brakes should be easy to put a number to just like any motor vehicle. Unexpected repairs are kind of impossible to predict. Buying a bumper to bumper extended warranty would be a way limit out of pocket costs to your deductible.

Bought a 06 Monaco in Oct 2011 Went on a trip through AZ, NV, where we had a minor accident, just $197.00 to get back on the road. Leaving Las Vegas we managed to strip a gear in the differential, $4,800.00 for repairs + about $900.00 for motel and meals. Went over to the North Coast of CA,where we spent another $396.00 for repairs for the Pac-Brake. Up through OR into WA with another minor accident. Chock ap another $2,000.00 for deductible for the two miner accidents. Another failure of the Pac-Brake another $300.00 +. Do not recommend Cummings for Pac-Brake repairs. You would be better off going to Your local hamburger stand, cheaper and they would know a much about the problem as the Cummings people. When we finally got back to AZ we were still having Pac-Brake. Hope this helps you in setting up your budget. Don't forget another $600.00 +/- for scheduled maintenance. Traded the %@## thing in on a new Allegro 34TGA. Best of luck in your travels. My motto is "you can't put a price on a good time."
