The only thing I would not buy is a MH old enough not to have fuel injection. Lots of jurisdictions have tight emission regulations that make it difficult to keep a rig with a carburetor within limits.
Our first MH was an '85 Class C with a carburetor-equipped Ford 460. I could never get that POS to run properly and we only got 6 mpg (4.5 or less at altitude). It had enough smog gear on it to sink a ship. Our current rig has a fuel-injected V-10 and, despite being 7' longer and a good bit heavier than the "C", gets almost 8 mpg regardless of altitude.
