I had a Nash 22 that was 8.5 feet wide. You are correct. I could not see very well from a Ford one ton with the factory mirrors extended. I sold the trailer. It was difficult to make it through construction zones and places with road cones. Narrow campgrounds with a lot of trees were a challenge.
Now I have a Rockwood ultra lite that is 8 feet wide and towing is a lot easier.
