not talking boat. just canoe. an aluminum canoe can easily be lifted/carried (portaged) by a single person and is miles ahead in comfort and durability. no need for fancy racks and dolls. get one with a shoulder bar (watch craigslist no need to buy new) and some foam blocks and straps and your good to go. PS I have a small fishing boat, a fiberglass canoe and an inflatable canoe. the inflatable is almost never used because its a huge PITA and not at all stable. very difficult to paddle, wanders all over the place, hurts the back and when inflated is more difficult than my fiberglass to carry. An aluminum canoe would be even easier.
