Yes, try to get Verizon if you use a Straight Talk hotspot as I think most people agree Verizon has the best nation wide coverage for us travelers.
I had also heard Straight Talk has 4G hotspots but I have read a few discussions (on the tech forum I believe) where people seem to believe they are being throttled and not really getting 4G speeds with their Straight Talk 4G devices.
And full disclosure - I am a happy Straight Talk phone and phone plan user. I have nothing against Straight Talk. In fact, I am a proponent.
