In my original post, I used the pet situation as an example. However, the point was the fact that I noticed that the "all about me" attitude mentioned by another poster seems far more common in a campground setting than I expected before starting camping. I realize that is the direction society seems to be heading. I travel ALOT for my job, all around the country (135 nights last year). I've also traveled a lot for pleasure, visiting most of the national parks by train or plane (with a rental car). Other than sitting in a plane, my limited experience camping to date has been worse than my other travels, and it is a bit disheartening. Fortunately, based on the input I am seeing here; it looks like perhaps I've just been experiencing some bad luck.
Sorry if it seemed like I was making an issue about dogs in a campground. It's not the dogs, it is the owners who choose to ignore rules for their own convenience at the expense of others. That is what I was trying to highlight with my experience.
