Life is really nothing more than an endurance test for putting up with people that are so self centered they really don't care at all about rules or other people.
Unless you are one of those people, then life is nothing more than an endurance test for putting up with people who want to impose rules on your behavior.
That covers both viewpoints.
If you are missing this in everyday life, then either you are quite sheltered, or not so aware in everyday surroundings as you are in new surroundings like the campground.
