It's not unusual for them to block out the name.
I would never buy without going to see it myself.
I would then get the serial number of the unit that I inspected.
I would consider paying more at a dealer near me in case I need warranty work. I wouldn't want to imagine taking it to a local place after buying it elsewhere. I have veered away from that advice before but it was with one motor vehicle. While working in the small engine repair field I witnessed many times that the owner would eat problems for regular customers.
If buying from a local dealer I would jokingly yet seriously say something like "well I can buy it cheaper elsewhere but I'm buying it from you because I want to support my local guy and I know you will take care of me" Right?
