BC is definitely a safe place to travel through. Observe the usual precautions like anywhere else. In our travels through CA, OR & WA, we've met many single females towing really small TTs up to huge motorhomes and they're from all over the place and doing thousands of miles of travelling. One lady in her 80s from New York was driving a humongous MH be herself - very impressive!
Note that gas prices are high now in BC (nearly $5/gal) and will go higher in the summer. I would look into maybe going through Alberta where gas is cheaper. FWIW, their sales tax is 5% compared to 12-15% elsewhere in Canada.
Just watch what you take across the Can/US border. You may want to go to the US & Canadian border agency websites to see what the restrictions are.
