Jumping right in!

Hello everyone, I have been lurking around here for a few months and have really enjoyed reading all the posts. This is my first TT and the wife and I are still feeling our way around all the ins and outs.
We bought a '15 Prime Time Tracer 36 footer and even though I knew it was pretty big for a first time TT, with 3 teen kids anything smaller than this would have me ready to upgrade in a year or two.
My original TV was a 2008 Tundra and really handled the TT great when I drove it home from the dealer. I had been reading on this forum about TV capacity and I knew that we were over the limit by a little. Discussed it with the wife and next thing I knew we were at the Ford dealership buying an F250. Problem solved!!
Anyway, thanks again for all the advice and tips. We take our first trip at the end of September (Tyler State park), can't wait!
  • Welcome to the forum, hope you enjoy the Rv. No one ever complains about having too much truck.

No I got the 6.2 gas. I do get a nagging feeling every once in a while that I made a mistake but I got a good deal on this one and just couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger on a diesel. Man those things are expensive!!
  • Welcome to the forum and welcome to the world of the first timer. I have to tell you that you are now going to be in a vicious cycle. We bought our 32' TT BH, with a 2012 F-150, then a year later after pulling some of the passes in WA State near the top end of our rating husband wanted an upgrade...so this summer we upgraded to the F-350...Now I want a bigger trailer!

Hey a woman is allowed to change her mind and if my husband had just listened to me when we bought the F-150 in 2012, we would never have need to buy a bigger truck as I would have already had my diesel!
