Just bought our first trailer!!

We, a family of 3 (5 year old son) were die hard boaters. We decided to sell our beloved Sea Ray 330 and dive into camping (or, as our boater friends are calling it, land-boating). If everything works out right, we should be the proud owners of a 2017 Wildwood Heritage Glen 300BH next week.. Sure hope my Ford Windstar can pull it. ;)

It was bought in the spring and used approx 4-5 times this year. The current owner wants a different layout. It is coming with a Blue Ox WD hitch setup, which he says is great. Other than a few small things, it should be turn key. I hope to get out a couple times this fall before having to winterize it.

And also into it, and it most likely will eventually. Its a law of physics. The frequency of leaking is directly proportional to the number of units produced by the industry in a given year.

Noted. I was thinking of adding the exhaust whistle and leaf blower turbo upgrade.

Coming from the custom car & truck world, import car builders swear every sticker adds 5 horsepower. The Windstar has lots of space for product logos.

    Welcome to the camping family.

  • Congrats on your new "lifestyle." Remember, there are a few differences between a boat and a camper:

If the boat is "rockin'" everyone comes running warning you of impending bad weather and to get out of there!

If the camper is "rockin'", you DON'T want ANYONE to come a-knockin'!

Congrats! Great days and adventures are ahead for you!

  • Welcome and congrats on your first RV.

That Windstar may need the Banks upgrade to pull the Wildwood :)
