Prolly true. Any thing YOU have the dealer add to the trailer in your "deal". Will not be reflected in the sticker. The sticker will only reflect the trailer as it sits on the lot, BEFORE you have the dealer modify it. Don't know of any dealer that will add a slide out awning with out it being wanted by the customer. but if they do add it to a trailer on the lot. they are supposed to change the sticker.
It is a great thing to know. As "many" people that are buying for the second or third time. Know how much weight they will add to the TT. So if the TT weighs 5000lb on the lot, and you know you will add 1000lb, and your TV can tow 7000lb. You know you are inside your limits. I found out with mu first TT that we add 600lb to the dry weight. And we carry less now than then. So I know that my new sticker weight 4811lb TT is well within the capacities of my truck.
and newer TT are getting lighter every year. My current 30' TT weighs 150lb LESS than my 2004 27' TT, and the new one has a slide. The 2004 did not.
