You don't even know you want it and you have given them your money. Have you negotiated a price? I certainly hope so because you are at a disadvantage at this point. Now if they have to convince you to buy it, the price goes down. When they know you want it, the price goes up. You have returned multiple times, been disappointed and even put money down before you have checked the rig out. ouch
Personally I would go back in and return the deal to zero. You can't negotiate with them holding the upper hand, so find something unlikeable and get your deposit back. Now you have the upper hand because they want to sell the rig, they have put effort into the rig and you are there having interest in the rig. Now it's time for them to have to do their job and sell it to you on a even field. Walk out and they will be calling soon.
