The dealer has done nothing more than "position" themselves. The purchase price has been agreed upon. You have made every effort & commitment to buy & they know that. During the PDI, if you find ANYTHING that does not meet your satisfaction, the price WILL change. By this time in the process, the dealer hopes that you are so committed (your time & effort) that you'll agree to spending a few more dollars. If it does meet your satisfaction & nothing is found, both parties are happy.
