I guess the key word is REPUTABLE cause when we were looking last week, the first one we looked at was advertised with a generator, and it didn't have one and they didn't know it didn't one. The second one that we wanted was dirty, needed tires, dead battery, and wasn't even detailed.
2007 we were looking for a big foot 25', we stopped by Apache trailer sales in Everett, we wandered around their lot, and looked at the one they had there. the sales gal came out and asked if she could help. I asked if the trailer was ready to go, she said yep we just got it detailed and on the lot an hours ago. I asked if we could turn things on and inspect the trailer, She said yep, have a go and give her a list of the stuff we find wrong. We spent better part of an hour going over the whole trailer and couldn't find a discrepancy, I asked how much she had to have. she gave me a price that was 3500 bucks below list.
we wrote them a check, they called our bank, they cleared the check, and we hooked up and drove the new trailer home.
2009, we had sold the 25' Bigfoot, and was looking for a 32-36' motorhome, we shopped the whole state for something we liked that we could afford, then we saw the Newmar setting on a park and sell lot in Bellingham, we stopped and looked thinking the 40' would be way over budget, and too big anyway. we were wrong on both counts, we loved the coach, and called the seller to see what kind of deal they would make, told them our budget, and they met our offer. I asked if they would deliver the coach to our bank here in Oak Harbor and pick up their cash. they agreed, and we owned the coach.
Buying and selling any thing is not brain surgery, know what you want, know it when you see it. and don't take******from a seller who ever they may be.
