Threemile Campground is, indeed, in grizzly territory. It's located outside the east entrance toward Cody. All of those forest campgrounds in the area are in high grizzly areas. It's a small campground and very pleasant but you really need to keep an extremely clean campsite. Leave NOTHING outside. It doesn't allow soft-sided campers or tents so the bear boxes are for you. If you're using a very small grill put it in the box.
Really, it doesn't mean you have to store every single thing in the box. If you can keep your food tightly closed - no open bags of potato chips or bread, for instance, and don't store it on the counters, you're good to go. Anything that smells - especially strong, should be put in the bear box. Your refrigerator is just fine.
Note: this also includes bathroom articles such as toothpaste which they love. Empty your wastecans before you leave for the day.
Definitely do not leave a cooler outside. Put it in your car and take it with you. Be very careful walking around at night.
Have fun!
