Keeping bears away in Yellowstone

"Fishing Bridge" campground has a no soft sided RV rule, so no tent trailers, yet a mile down the road they have tent trailer and tent camping in the campground adjacent to the marina. Doesn't make sense.

Lastly.....do you know what many people do there during their stay.....they travel the park trying to spot a bear, which many will never do. You have a higher chance of a Bison walking through the campground then a bear.

I am sure that is exactly what the guy who got dragged out of his tent and eaten alive though when he pitched his tent in the Soda Butte Campground near Cooke City (Northeast Entrance to Yellowstone). The really sad thing is he did nothing to provoke an attack, but there are many rumors that a photographer was baiting bears into camera range. Never was proven, and officially it was determined there was no discernable reason for the attack. There are bear rules for a reason, and just because you don't see the reasoning behind it, there is almost always a reason, and generally a good one.
