Keeping bears away in Yellowstone
Hello, I will be camping for a week with my travel trailer in Yellowstone. It says "bear food locker" required and provided by the campsite. Can I cook inside the camper, or is that asking...

We just returned from YSNP this last week, stayed in Fishing Bridge. We religiously followed the campsite rules regarding bears and items left outside and never had a problem. In fact the hosts were more concerned about us leaving our dogs unattended outdoors due to a coyote problem than with bears. (that just tells me that people have been following the rules and have not "trained" the bears to find food there)
In the 5 nights that we were in the park we did see three black bears with and without cubs, and one grizzly from a very long distance. So they're there.
At Coulter Bay RV Park, our kids came across a bear walking back from the lake to the campground about 25-30 yards away. Once the bear noticed them it took off.
