Last Minute trip to Yosemite

We decided to do a last minute trip to Yosemite on Christmas morning for three nights. We will be staying in El Portal just outside the park.

My question is, having never had to winterize my RV, do I need to worry about it for three nights if the low is scheduled to be in the mid to upper 20's at night for the three nights we are there? We'll have shore power and will be using the furnace heavily as well as supplementing with our buddy heater when needed.

What do you guys suggest I do to prepare my RV for this quick trip? Do I really need to do the full winterizing routine?
  • I camp in the sierras all the time in cold weather If you have shore power bring a electric heater use tank water not city water and just keep it warm the temps don't stay low all day. Have a great time and don't worry about it.
  • Only thing to add would be DON'T count on shore power from CG to be 100% in working order, Power outages all the time do to fill in blank ________ ...
Make sure your fuel tank is topped off and propane tank as well before heading in and setting up, may have to rely on Generator...
