Uh...yeah....I know a lot of people around here push the 250 / 300 miles a day routine, but IMO, there's driving, and then there's driving to get there! Under 1000 miles, especially with the stop in the middle being just a "rest stop", not setting up in a CG, I'd push through at least half the trip.
