The only advice I'd give is to study the laws, follow them, and document that they are being followed. I very much suspect that will basically mean registering the motorhome in Georgia.
As the seller, your responsibility ends with transferring ownership. It may be neighborly to help the buyer obtain a transit permit from CA so they can drive home. Beyond that, let them figure out what needs to be done in their situation.
