Not sure how she thinks she can save money trying to register in NC. When we moved here from another state we got the "welcome to NC" registration taxes and fees. It was a few thousand dollars for our vehicles. You basically have to pay a one time sales tax, regardless if you bought and paid taxes in another state. It hurt quite a bit.
Never mind if she has no legitimate business registering a MH in another state that it's illegal if you are trying to evade taxes in your actual state.
