  • I'm an addict! On your way through, fish some of the lakes in New York. We may have some of the nastiest winter weather, but there's no shortage of excellent bass fishing in this state.

Virtually every body of water has a good population of bass, from small lakes to big ones. Depending on whether you like to chase largemouth or smallies, you'll find plenty of opportunities. If you can get out there, Lake Erie is a must for giant smallies.
  • If you are not needing/wanting to limit yourselves to the pacific northwest and Texas, I have a couple of suggestions. Check out the bass fishing in a small (and I do mean small! Lol!) town in Missouri. Theodosia has some of the best bass fishing around! There's a tournament there every year, but not sure when. I'm not into fishing, but we lived in Branson for several years and my parents had a home on Bull Shoals Lake. There's a nice marina/campground/motel right there. There's also a tournament on Table Rock Lake in the Branson area. Sponsored by Bass Pro Shops, I believe. Again, not sure of the dates. PM me if you want more info about the area. I'll be glad to help!
