I had posted an AD on craigslist looking to buy - and stated that we would pay 1-2K over what their trade in quote was.
But our AD kept getting flagged and removed from cragslist I assume from Dealerships not wanting us to detour people from trading in there motorhome is all I can figure as there was nothing else in our AD that would warrant getting flagged.
Unless your account is fragile, or CL is trying to clean up a category.. it takes thousands (perhaps 10's) of distinct flags to remove an otherwise healthy ad from a healthy account. CL is very good about filtering duplicates, so your local dealers are almost definitely not causing your ad to come down. See the cl-flag-help forum on CL for more information.
Well I did post in the for sale section which yes I know I am not selling anything but I see multiple ads for people looking to buy its just not me. The only difference In wording I added was about offering to pay over the trade in value. My account is not fragile I hardly post any ads maybe once or twice a year. Last AD I posted was I had a boat to sell and that was early Spring.
Here are few other AD's that are posted looking for RV in my area under for sale.. and they don't get removed so not sure what the deal was.

Getting ADs flagged on craigslist is by percentage.
If you have 100 people view your post and 4 flag it, your ad will most likely NOT BE removed. 4 percent total flagged
If you have 10 people view your post and 4 flag it, your ad will be most likely BE removed. 40 percent total flagged
I can pretty much say my Craigslist AD looking for RV and stating that I will pay over what trade in value would be. Got flagged by salesmen working in a dealership.
