Going West from Las cruzes New Mexico early one mornning on I-10 there was high wind and dust, could see maybe a 1/4 mile or less, told the wife that if I did not see a big rig coming the other way we would get off at the next off ramp and wait, saw a couple big rigs coming out of the dust, so we proceeded at that moment a fellow pulling a pulltrailer past doing at least 75 mph or more, we were doing 45, a couple of miles up the road he was off to the right, the Chevrolet wagon was on its roof and all that was left of the trailer was the bent frame still attached to the Chevy.
The wind gusts were strong enough that I was huging the left side off my lane and was pushed to nearlly the shoulder, we stopped to assist, luckylly the guy and the wife where both wearing seat belts, brused and battered but alive, nothing broken we got off at the next exit and waited until the wind piped down.
If this fellow had driven a little slower he might have been able to prevent a bigger disaster, but it is hard to tell.
