- rfryerExplorerI doubt if you can get a “large” supply of your prescriptions, a national chain will work best. But don’t use mail order, some clown will invariably send them to the wrong place. Happened to me about a year and a half ago and was a real PITA to straighten out.
- jcsbExplorerHad an interesting but upsetting situation last winter. Went to a chain pharmacy in Fl. I have medicare. They could not refill an out of state Rx. Not allowed to by Medicare. Had to call my dr and have him fax a new Rx.
- Bob___AnnExplorerAs already stated due to insurance you will be limited to how big of a supply of drugs you can order. We used to utilize CVS but we found out the further west you go the less locations there are. We have used Walgreens for the past three years and it has worked great. Any Walgeens has your prescriptions in their computer so you can walk into any location and order what you need. We travel for three months at a time and this has worked for us
- bob_nestorExplorer IIIJust to toss in something else here, be careful if you plan on traveling outside the country to places like Canada. By Canadian law they can't fill a US prescription. You must have a prescription from a Canadian doc.
- ed6713ExplorerWe have used WalMart for years. You simply transfer your prescriptions to them . Go online. Order your prescriptions. Tell them what store you want to pick them up at.
That simple. We travel from coast to coast. Works without a hitch. - Dick_BExplorerYour insurance company may not allow large purchases at one time.
- KirkExplorerInsurance and Medicare will only cover a 90 day supply so go with that but with renewals to cover the entire trip. We use a mail order pharmacy and just have the sent to either the location where we are if sitting still or to our mail forwarding service when traveling about.
- 2oldmanExplorer IIInteresting first post.
- oldchief7155ExplorerWe use CVS for humans and Rosdrunner Pharmacy for pets. MUUUUUUCH cheaper for pets than Walmart or CVS. Very nice, send by UPS and include a free toy.
- Old-BiscuitExplorer IIIWhen we FT'd DOC would right a 90 day Rx with 3X refills.....made it easy to get via Walmart/Walgreens/CVS etc. as everything is computerized.
