Is the mileage on an RV comparable to mileage on a car? I figure most cars are good up until about 100,000 miles before they start having major problems. Hoping to get a used RV with 20,000 miles to avoid the major depreciation when they are new.
What year is it? Is 20k divided up thru the years? Such as if its 4 years old and the previous owner only took 5000 mile trips a year, then I wouldn't be afraid of it. Has it sat for a year. Get a professional service job on it and it would be fine with me to take anywhere. Has it sat for more than a year or a season? Ask why and still have the service job on it. The comparison of having a unit 50k with on it is not always good advice with all due respect. At 50k, you have other things to think about like ball joints, brakes, tires ect. If the unit is 10 years old and has 20k on it, it would be a******shoot depending on what it looked like and who had it, Since its used, I wouldn't be concerned with depreciation as that happened when it was driven off the lot when new. Does it need some cleaning and interior repairs like water stains or even carpet stains. With only 20k that would be an issue with me and maybe some insight as to how well it was cared for. Do a car fax.
