It's a personal choice.
With a 28ft rig, you may need to park further out in a parking lot, or further down the road for a small town "main street".
You will need to put things away in order to drive out of camp - depending on how much you have, that could be a pain.
Parking in a big city could be problematic, but you could counter that by parking at a subway or bus station outside the city and commuting into the city.
Some scenic overlooks may be a bit tight.
On the good side, you'll always have your own bathroom handy. :)
