Thanks for all of the advice so far. I may flip/flop again before I actually make a purchase (or lease). At this point I think that a motorhome plus a Wrangler may be my best choice because part of my goal is to enjoy this as much as possible and I think along with hiking, riding bikes, and doing the regular tourist thing, that we may enjoy taking a Jeep off-road a lot (something you can't do with some cheaper toads and maybe can't do as well with an HD truck). I'm not sure yet whether I would prefer Class A or C.
As far as leasing goes, I majored in Accounting and along with my degree I passed the CPA exam in one sitting so I trust my financial judgment more than average strangers. Buy or lease - whichever makes you happy. What I tell my kids and friends is if you plan to keep a vehicle longer than 5 years you can (probably) save money buying it. You also get some repair headaches that I haven't had. Less than 5 years: you'll probably save money leasing. I like having a new car every 3 years.

Buy what appreciates; rent what depreciates.
