Of course on the RV forum folks will be biased to RV. Our brother and his wife do hotel travel and visited us at campsite in Fla last Feb and were impressed with how relaxing it was. Also you can find lots of socialization at campgrounds, especially if your dogs are cute.
We had a popup while working, got a fifth wheel at retirement. Fiver is much easier to tow and setup only takes 10 to 15 minutes.
For us, the RV gives more flexibility.
