New generator for new rv. Recommendations

I had a propane generator in my last 5th wheel, and ended up hardly using it. I found it much easier to haul a boat tank of gasoline around for the Hondas instead of using up so much propane. We boondock and dry camp a lot, so propane is important to us for heat, warm food and cold drinks. If you don't do much camping away from plug ins then it isn't as big of a to use the propane for the generator.

For what do you need a generator?
How big of RV? What type of RV?
Camping off-grid long term mostly or overnights very rarely?
How many air conditioners?
You expect to run a Keurig, electric skillet etc?
Or do you plan to idle the generator several hours to watch a movie or two?

Do you really even need a generator? If you camp mostly in campgrounds with electric connection then everything will work. Even if not plugged in everything in the RV works off of propane or batteries except the microwave, air conditioning, and the outlets. You can use the lights, water, heat, stove, refrigerator, radio, etc. without a generator.

My problem with Harbour Freight is lack of parts. I was given a HF compressor in need of repairs. I can't get any parts for it. I will use the tank but the rest will be stripped down for parts.

I personally have never seen a negative report on either the Predator or a Champion.

The new "dark horse" in the race is Westinghouse. They are the only one making a lightweight 2600 (peak) watt generator. Great if you are running a bigger A/C unit.

I bought the Ryobi 2300 because it has the remote shut off feature. It’s really nice not to have to crawl out of bed or go out in the rain to kill it. So far it’s been good. Reliable, easy to start and quiet. I’ve used it for two years.

I have a pair of Champion 2000 and either one will also run everything but the AC. Paired together they run the AC.

It bothers me to see people spend so much on an RV and then buy the cheapest generator they can find. Then they ALWAYS point the exhaust away from them so the noise isn't so bad for them.
I have a pair of Honda EU2000i generators, and either one by itself will run everything but the AC.
