With Fords, there is little difference between a 3/4 ton and a one ton, except for some packages. So, might as go with the one ton.
Everyone has a different opinion, but were I to do it all over again, I probably would have gotten a F-350 gasser with the 6.2 V8. Just because the F-150 is OK for my 6500 pound (~5000 pounds dry + tanks and my stuff in it) TT, but I really wish I could move to a TC or had the option of a 5W... especially the truck camper and a 4x4 pickup, which is the go-anywhere RV of choice. Get a heavy duty wench just in case, and you can go boondocking almost anywhere.
