Go with the biggest truck you can afford. I somewhat agree about getting the trailer first..it's what we did several years ago. But the downside is that you need to make sure you are able to get the truck that's capable of pulling he trailer you decide on. The trailer we got had a gross weight of 11k lbs. took a minimum 3/4 ton. We were lucky to get a brand new f250 crew cab with v10 for just a little over $30k. They were wanting over $50k for the 350's around here. That is if you didn't want a vinyl bench seat.
