Look at the Good Sam planner and there are RV review sites listed in some threads. That is the best way to find a park once you know a city. I think you need to accept that your wife may have to commute 10-20 miles. You may not find parks right next to the city. That said, there are RV parks in Houston that cater to long term patients for MD Anderson hospital. Don't know how close.
I would break it in to multiple questions and search the forum or make new posts. Each subforum has it's own specialty.
The full-timer thread can be helpful on a TT that can handle the stress of year round use.
Look up the best four season TT's. Heated tanks is one thing I would look for. As you stated, some add just enough to toss a useless label of four seasons.
I would recommend a tax professional and/or look that up on travel nurse sites because you will be dealing with multiple state taxes. The site linked in the first reply said there are tax advantages to owning a home concerning a housing allowance paid by the hospital.
What about tow vehicle (TV)? Make sure that is a match. Ditto on weight distribution hitch (WDH). Go to the towing forum and you will find plenty on the balance in all of TV's ratings: two limit, cargo limit, axle rating, tires, etc.
For this thread, I would add to the questions to other members, "what questions should I be researching?"
