thank you for your service, and I think your skills should allow you to find positions that would provide you a site for some work. The only issue with that is what to do with your 3 year old if you were working. My thought is day-care/preschool to allow your child to socialize and develop people skills. Also you need to be thinking about what you plan to do about school, as that 3 yr old will be school age very soon.
I think there will be some work to find and determine what positions to accept, that can provide the needs of the entire family. If you are willing to do the research on locations, this could be a very workable way of life.
