Where are ya coming into ? We live in North Florida , in the woods . If ya need a place to tie up for a day or two up near Tallahassee Florida , we have a spot with electric and water . Thirty miles from civilization .
We have mapped out a general route leaving from LA in April in an anti clockwise direction & Tallahassee was on our path. We are hoping to be at the Texas Ironman in Houston around 20th May so had our arrival to Bald point state park about 20 nights after that, which takes it to around the 9th, 10th of June, maybe? NY city hopefully by end of June. Catch up with you then.
Be sure you make reservations for the end of June. Any place you go in the U.S. is going to be pretty full from the end of June through the first week in July. July 4th is Independence Day.
Also wanted to speak to boondocking--you can boondock in some rest areas--it varies state to state--and some Walmarts, depending on the local laws. However... I would never boondock in either place with children. There is simply no place for them to play safely and you sure don't want to have them in the parking lot. For us, it was worth the price we had to pay to make sure we stayed in a safer place.
