I think I've had my question answered, all I need is the switch with the flame to run the water heater in LP mode. I really did try to read the manual that came with the water heater but it just didn't make sense.

I'm still confused why there are so many switches (3) for the electric though! Is that just so you don't do something stupid and turn it on without water in it?
