Not towing a car, Where can we go?

We bought a small 19CB Coach Freelander. We got that specific model due to our needs, and our available parking space.
Now we are looking for places to go where we do not need to have an additional car. Are there places where we can just explore right out of our RV? Or where public transportation can take us? We don't mind going to the store once in a while, but will prefer to be park at the campground and just walk around.
We are in Illinois and so far, have encountered campgrounds far removed from everything.
Maybe something like Zion National park? where we can take their awesome bus? Are there more places like it?
Thanks
  • we have a 25-footer that has been to every state but one (Guess?) and lots of Canada. No toad has ever been used. You just drive to where you need to go and look for a large parking space. If there are tours, then you can use them.

Don't worry -- you'll get everywhere you want, including rides on Alaska ferries at the regular car rate due to the short length of your RV.
  • Zion has the shuttle
    Grand Canyon has the shuttle
Gettysburg has a shuttle to some CGs to do the tour
