Ok to move TV? On/off mount frequently

Our camper came with a quick release mount for the main TV so it can be used inside or outside.

We have 3 tv's. A 32" in the main living area. A 19" or 20" in the bedroom. And then another 19" or 20" in an outside bay. I like having a smaller tv outside. For one, it's mounted in a bay on pull out mount. Secondly, it less obtrusive. Not displaying it all for everyone in the park. Also, I can see it just fine while sitting under the awning.

An alternate suggestion for the OP .........

Instead of mounting the television on an exterior bracket just set it down on a table or other flat surface ... for travel just lay it down on the bed for safe storage. If the particular set you want to use isn't equipped with a base you can easily make one with a couple of pieces of hardwood, just as I did for using the television from our own trailer during the winter in the house. If you don't want to build your own base you can often pick one up at any local RV dealer for free just by asking. The reason - when a television is being replaced under warranty in a customer's trailer the new replacement will be shipped in it's box fully equipped with everything - new remote, brackets, hardware kit, base, etc - but for an existing installation none of those parts are required so the dealer will often just toss them. Ask and you just may get one for free. :)

Moving the tv is not the issue.

Moving the tv is the issue.

All the connections should be fine if you're the careful type.

Only drawback is each time you move the tv is another chance to drop it.

I think Bobbo's point was that a TV outside is not a necessity, he'll have speak for him self on the snark! But if it wasn't for the projector set up I wouldn't watch outside either! That was his contribution, yours was a repeat of what others have said yet you re-wrote it!

We have a screen that we use outside. It is about 90"x90" in but the wife has her projector and we can hook it to the TV inside and watch outside through the projector but its usually watching DVD's with popcorn around the fire! We attract a few people sometimes. Wife made the screen from a sheet and I devised a way to hang it on our slideout.
A television outside would only get broken moving it in or out. Even if it was dedicated. A ompact 10 or 15 lb projector with case and handle. A minute to set it up and take down! easy as pie!
