- catkinsExplorer IIYour owners manual will have a table of fuel consumption at various loads. Is a good guesstimate. Most generators are very fuel efficient especially at lower load ranges.

How long does the Cummins onan 4K Generator run for a full tank?
We need to know what load you have on it a model would help too.
I have four each ~4kW capable Onans and they are radically different as they vary in age from 45 to a very young 20 years.

Matt - VeebyesExplorer IIThe GPH rate depends on load. Running the air or a few heaters & the fuel disappears. Be thrifty with your power management & you might be better off enlarging the battery bank, getting an inverter to run things like the TV & phone chargers & only run the genny as necessary to recharge or air if needed.
- Old-BiscuitExplorer IIIGasoline
Half load .5 g/h.
Full load .7 g/h.
LPG
Half load .6 g/h
Full load .7 g/h - camperdaveExplorerAround half a gallon per hour. On my class C with a 55 gallon tank, that should be around 80 hours from full tank to the 1/4 tank cut off.
- gboppExplorerWhat is the capacity of the fuel tank?
- LwiddisExplorer II“it will depend on the load, you have on it” Even if you run it downhill?
- midnightsadieExplorer IIit will depend on the load, you have on it.
