How long do you plan to spend on the trip? Will you be trying to get there ASAP, or taking your time? Depending on what you mean by "a few weeks," cold weather could still be a factor in your route decisions. (For example, if you want to go through Yellowstone, you may still have some difficulty with some of the roads being open for another 2-3 weeks, due to weather-related situations.)
