Hello,
I cant tell you anything about weight and towing as my husband takes care of all that. I can tell you that after about 6-8 months research we bought a new 21ft Funfinder in 2007. We love it.It has has some minor issues over the years but nothing that I dont think any other brand has. Since we bought it we have taken it out to the west 4 times and down the eastern seaboard 2 times during the summer. I teach school so we are able to go for the summer. In between those major trips we have taken it to Virginia Beach twice in April and this past April to Outer Banks. Plus we go as many weekends we can squeeze in from April to October to New Hampshire, Cape cod, Maine and Vermont. It is a well traveled trailer and it has never let us down:) It doesn't have a slideout as FF didn't come with them that year in 21ft. It can get a little cramped on rainy days. Its just the 2 of us but we spend most of our time outside or going to tourist attractions, the beach, biking etc. I looked for a few certain things in my search. One was a 60'x80' walk around or island style bed. Another was that it was not made with OSB. And most important that our then 2002 Tundra could safely tow it. It was the perfect choice for us. We now have a 2010 Tundra with more power which does make towing easier. Plus getting over the Rockies easier. On one of the western trips we stopped in Howe Indiana and did a factory tour. My husband is retired and I will be retired next year and we talk about getting something larger but it makes me sad to think about trading in our Funfinder. We have had so many great adventures in it.
