paper plates or doing dishes / wife advice

We use both. It depends on the meal. If meat on the plate has to be cut with a knife, I use real plates. My husband is apt to use paper for anything and than cuts thru the plate.
Whoever does the dishes should be the one to make the decision. I make the meal, my husband does the dishes but he gets his choice only sometimes.
