My opinion...A travel trailer is not as tall as a 5th wheel...Overhead clearance much better. You'll fit just fine under trees in most areas. Most trash trucks are taller than RV trailers. Not saying there won't be hassles getting turned around at times.
Sometimes it even turns out to be fun. I think it was Depoe Bay (Oregon) we ended up on a small side street and a bunch of cars blocking the street, turned out to be a "crab feed" they were having as a fund raiser. Good stuff. There has also been times I've had to back down logging roads just to get turned around. I also check out google maps in satellite mode before blindly driving around.
